Cheese waffles with bacon, sausages, maple syrup and orange juice - holidays special recipe to kickstart the next day. Healthy? No. Quick? Yes! Delicious? Certainly!
Plain Flour: 200g
Water: 250ml
Eggs: 2 large
Cheese: 200g-250g mixed
Dried Yeast: 2 tablespoons
Salt: 1 tablespoon
Bacon: 4 slices
Sausages: 4 mid sized
Oranges: 3-4 per person
Prepare Waffles
Use large bowl to mix all ingredients for waffles: flour, dried yeast, salt, eggs, cheese and water. Once all ingredients are well combined set the bowl aside for 5 minutes for yeast to start working.
Cooking Bacon and Sausage
Use large pan to cook bacon and sausage the same time until cooked evenly with a nice golden texture on both sides.
Cooking Waffles
Cook until golden and crispy. 4 minutes in our case but we recommend to check every minute to be sure that they are not burnt.
Juice
Squeeze 3-4 oranges to make a fresh juice.
Serve
On a large plate put waffles and cover them with bacon and maple syrup; add sausages to the plate. Serve it with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
Enjoy!
Add chopped dill or chives when preparing waffles mixture.
Taste great with cup of coffee as well.
Can be served with fried eggs and tomatoes.
