This recipe is a great way to start the day with delicious breakfast. Wholemeal bagel with bacon, tomato, egg, and cheese is perfect breakfast or brunch option to enjoy with coffee, tea or a glass of juice.
Bagel: 1 wholemeal, sliced in half
Bacon: 2 slices
Tomato: 1 medium, sliced
Egg: 1 large
Cheese: 3 slices of your choice (we're using processed cheese for this recipe)
Toast wholemeal bagel halves until they are lightly golden brown.
Place bacon slices on a pan and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side.
Add egg to the pan and fry for another 3-5 minutes.
Slice 1 medium size tomato.
Assemble Wholemeal Bagel With Bacon, Egg, Cheese and Tomato:
On the one half of toasted bagel add cheese slice, top it with tomatoes and add another slice of cheese.
Add egg, two slices of bacon, another slice of cheese and second half of bagel to form a sandwich.
Try an alternative option by replacing tomatoes with avocado.
Add hot sauce or pickled jalapenos to bring heat to the weekend breakfast :)
For a vegetarian option use fried mushrooms or bell peppers for a delicious and healthy alternative.
